  1. How does prenatal massage differ from regular massage and is it safe? Prenatal massage is fantastic at relieving the common aches and pains of pregnancy. The extra weight at the front of the body often cause low back pain. Side-lying positions keep baby in a neutral state. The calming of mom's nervous system generally transfer to the baby and help in the overall calming and soothing effect.

We will discuss and explore your priorities and preferences for childbirth.  I will ask about the expectations you have of your partner and myself as well as any others you plan to attend the birth. The more we explore this in advance, the better I will be able to fulfill my role in supporting you.

  3. Are there time constraints regarding Doula care at the time of birth? No. Hours beyond the initial 24 are charged at $35/hour.

  4. Is support provided during a cesarean birth? Absolutely! I am trained in providing care no matter how you give birth, including surgical birth. I am prepared to accompany you in PreOP, the OR and postOp. Please, understand though, that not all facilities allow doulas within the OR.
